STEWART, Benjamin Jeffrey – suddenly as a result of a brief illness while vacationing in Phoenix, AZ, passed away on January 25th, 2025 in his 49th year. Loving and supportive brother to Sherrie (Nick Ashford) and amazing Uncle to Jorja and Leah. Cherished son to the late Jeffrey Stewart (2007) (Faye Stewart) and Linda Stewart. Ben was also much loved by the Tanchak family, Dan and Marg, Tara, Melanie (Jeff) and their children, Brian (Carolyn) and their children. They were a true extension of family that consisted of so much love and support to him. Something he truly deserved. Ben was known for his sense of humour and for being the one to bring together everyone in laughter. Ben was always willing to lend a hand, the first to try new foods or restaurants, the first to tease, the one to keep traditions alive, someone you could call on, and one of his greatest accomplishments, to be the “coolest Uncle” to both Jorja and Leah and the Tanchak/Samborski kids. Ben enjoyed his work and excelled at it. When at home, Ben enjoyed music, home renos, learning to tend to his garden, making a great meal, and spending time with his animals, especially his dog Sheva. Ben also will be forever missed by so many friends and loved ones. A service to celebrate Ben’s life will be held at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe on Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Spring interment of ashes at a later date. Due to Ben’s willingness to take in misfit animals over the years, the family requests that any donations be made to the Simcoe and District Humane Society in his honour.
