July 2, 1933 – March 2, 2025
Passed away peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on March 2, 2025 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Hilda Nuttall (nee Griffin), married for 71 years. Son of the late Edwin and Clara Nuttall (nee Blakely). Much loved father of Jay Nuttall, Judy Durocher, Ron Nuttall, and Linda Nuttall (Mark Chojnacki). Cherished grandfather of Erin Welsford (Mark), Megan Morrison (Kyle), Michaela Nuttall and Kendrick Durocher. Great Grandfather of Brennan, Amelia, Marshall, Elanie, and Emmett. Step great grandfather of Kaylei, Shawn, and Emily. Dear brother of Roger Nuttall (the late Diane) and Muriel Walton (John). Predeceased by siblings John Nuttall (Ruth) (Shelia), Thelma Dennison (Barnie Burns) (Red Dennison), Bryce Nuttall (Marina) (Eunice), and his half brother Victor Clapp (Teresa).
Ben was a farmer and farm machinery mechanic. He and Hilda raised their family and farmed on Cunningham Road for 69 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Legion in Gananoque on Saturday April 19, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00pm. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Kingston General Hospital for the excellent care provided.
