Bea Komarechka passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, at Maison McCulloch Hospice in Sudbury, Ontario, surrounded by her loving family. Family meant the world to Bea, and she felt incredibly blessed by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Bea, beloved wife of Don Komarechka (predeceased) will be dearly missed by her children, Catherine (Ross), Cyndy (Lee), Dave (predeceased), and Mike (Cindy). Doting grandmother of Paula (Brad), James (Ayu), Don (Desi), Jake (Danielle), Kate (Connor) and Christopher. Proud step grandmother of Samantha (Charles) and Holley (Denis). Loving great grandmother of Grace, Ella, Madelyn, Claire, Danika and Millie. Devoted step great grandmother of Arthur and Lincoln. She will also be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Bea will be remembered for her incredible talent for quilting with an ability to infuse love into her creations. Bea’s legacy and love will live on in the many beautiful quilts she gifted to family and friends. Above all else, Bea was the heart and home of her family. She was a strong, elegant, woman who will be remembered most for the love and kindness she shared. Everyone who knew Bea, felt the beautiful love that she shared unconditionally. She always made visitors feel welcome and at home with her hospitality and home cooking, and everyone loved her butter tarts.
Engaging in conversations with her family, sharing her favourite memories, filled her with passion and joy right up to her final days.
There will be a private interment ceremony for the immediate family in the spring. In lieu of flowers you may send donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice in Sudbury, Ontario.
