BEATRICE DAOUST
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Beatrice “Bea” Daoust announces her passing at the age of 96 on April 6th, 2025, at Hogarth Riverview Manor.

It was here that she met the love of her life, Benoit Daoust. They were married in 1948 and shared 68 years of love and devotion until Ben’s passing in 2016.
Bea was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter Cathy Gosselin (Joe), son Lenny, sister Delores Fildey, grandchildren
Chantal Warner (Sean) and Kristien Gosselin, great-grandsons Jordan Gosselin (Kristina), Turner and
Cale Santin, and great-great-granddaughters Noa and Lucy Gosselin, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her daughter Sandra Daoust and her husband Benoit Daoust.
A devoted Catholic, Bea’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was known for her warmth and generosity, always engaging in thoughtful conversations with those around her. Bea was deeply connected
to her family and friends, including her sister Delores, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. The two spent countless hours talking and always had something to say to each other.
Bea and Ben cherished their time at their camp on Lake Shebandowan. Bea was an active member of the Shebandowan community, organizing the annual pie sale and Christmas parties for many years. Her delicious cooking, unforgettable pies (especially her famous pie crust), and knack for creating
joyful gatherings will be fondly remembered. Bea’s culinary talents extended to cocktail parties, dance parties, and card games, where she always made sure everyone felt welcome and well-fed. In her younger years, Bea embraced an active lifestyle and was dedicated to her family and friends.
Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and cherished memories, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of Bea’s life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the 2N staff at Hogarth Riverview Manor for their compassionate care.
