Barteldina Vanderhoek Obituary
Passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 5, 2025 at Portal Village Retirement Home at the age of 96.
Predeceased by her cherished husband Anton (2020), son Jack (2025), and siblings Martin, Jurrien and Henny.
Much loved mother of the late Jack (Ena), Ralph (Robin), Richard (Loretta), James and Alida. Loving Oma of Christian, Nygil, Jon, Ricky, Peter, Anthony, Stephanie and Carrie and their spouses, and dear Great Oma of 8. Also survived and missed by her sisters Alida (Paul) and Roeli “Ruby” (Bernie) and her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Barta was a woman of deep faith who was a dedicated and loving foster parent for over 25 years.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place with arrangements entrusted to the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 15, 2025 at Welland First Baptist Church (165 Sydney Place, Welland, Ontario) at 2 p.m.
