Obituary of Barry Walter Bezanson
Barry Walter Bezanson 79, died February 15, 2025 in Victoria B.C.
Barry was born in Surrey, England to parents Arthur and Betty (Finch) Bezanson. He arrived in Canada as a 6 month old in 1946, grew up in Westville, N.S., graduated from Westville High School and Acadia University. He was a proud Canadian who served his country in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1964 to 1994 retiring with the rank of Major. Barry served internationally in the Middle East and Norway as well as in many bases in Canada. Nova Scotia remained a special place in Barry’s heart and he returned every year or two to visit with family and friends. He was extremely pleased to have participated in his 60th High School reunion this past July.
Barry is survived by his wife, Rosalind (Pierce) Bezanson; his son Ryan and wife Suki and grandson Micah Bezanson; his daughter, Sarah and husband Chris Harper and their children Maddie and Taven Harper. He is also survived by his brother Brian Bezanson, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his younger sister, Janie Fraser in April 2024.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place; there will be no visitation or services.
