Obituary of Barbara Ann Dunn
Peacefully at the Kings County Memorial Hospital, Montague, surrounded by family, the passing of Barbara Ann Dunn (Curran) from Summerville, PEI occurred on May 8, 2025.
Survived by her loving children Debbie (Ivan) Fraser, Joan (Geoff) Crisp, Susan (Bobby) Sorrie, Paul (Carlene) Dunn, Glen (Michelle Cudmore) Dunn, Wayne Dunn and Tracey (Jim) McVey. Cherished Nanny of grandchildren; Jasmine Crisp (Ian Twomey), Sean (Martha) MacSwain, Hannah (Mitch) Wilson, Jennifer (Mike) Schmitt, Jordan Cudmore and Johnny Dunn and her much loved great-grandchildren; Violet MacRae, Kiera Twomey, Jed MacSwain and Jasper Wilson. Sister of Peggy (Carl) Hicken and Teresa Fisher; sister-in-law Marie Bradley and brother-in-law Martin Kenny. Barbara will be missed and remembered with love by her large family of in-laws, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and many friends. Special aunt of Leo, Noreen, Bernice and Cathy (predeceased). Predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years Gerard “Mick” Dunn; siblings Joe (Florence) Curran, George (Heather) Curran, Mary (George) Wilson, Cornelius Curran and Janet Kenny.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 4-7 pm. A Funeral Mass to be celebrated from St. Joachim’s Church, Vernon River on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 2:00 pm, followed by interment in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made online to Kings County Memorial Hospital.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Holland, nurses and staff of the Kings County Memorial Hospital.
For all of us who loved Nanny, we will remember her big heart and her amazing sense of humor.
