Barbara Mills
July 31, 1950 – April 25, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother, Barbara Mills, who passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025.
Barb was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, coach, and friend. She will be remembered for her kindness, empathy, strength, sense of humor, and her unwavering determination to do what is right, no matter what. She loved passionately, and if you were lucky enough to receive a hug from her, you could feel that love completely.
She was tireless in her efforts to raise money for her favorite dog rescue–Northern Reach Network–spending countless hours crocheting blankets, scarves, and hats to be sold in support of the cause.
Barb leaves behind her loving husband Rudy, children Tracy and Chad (Tricia); grandchildren: Charlotte and Gavin; her furbabies: Shylo and Bobo; and grand-furbabies: Jellybean, Sebastian, Keiko, Milo, Cheeto, Rocco, and Meeko. She is also lovingly remembered by her devoted husband and high school sweetheart of 55 years, Rudy.
A time to pay respects will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home – Upper Gage Chapel, 796 Upper Gage Avenue, Hamilton, ON L8V 4K4. (Between Mohawk and Fennell).
All who knew her and wish to say goodbye and pay their respects are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Northern Reach Network, based out of Thunder Bay. You can visit their Facebook page here:
