It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Barbara Fisher on April 7, 2025 at the age of 83. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Barbara’s life was filled with love, kindness, and an unwavering sense of family. She leaves behind her beloved children Gary (Wendy) and Steve (Karen), whose lives were forever enriched by her gentle care and nurturing spirit.
Barbara was a proud and loving grandmother to her grandchildren: Tasha, Roxanne, Gary Jr., Renee, Rishae, Jonathan, Keshawn, Andre, Shevon, and Leticia. She was also the cherished great-grandmother to Aliya, Ayden, Solana, Khalil, Sanaa, Anthony, Reychai, Deshane, Zaria, and Ziya, who brought her immeasurable joy.
Known for her love of crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and bingo, Barbara enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, always seeking out ways to keep her mind sharp and her heart full. Her warm smile and easy laughter brightened every room she entered, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
Visitation will be held at DeMarco Funeral Home (3725 Keele Street, Toronto, Ontario) on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. A service will follow at 12:00 pm, with an interment ceremony at Beechwood Cemetery (7241 Jane Street, Concord, Ontario) to conclude the day.
In honor of Barbara’s legacy, her family invites all who knew and loved her to celebrate her life and the profound impact she made on those around her.
