It is with great sorrow that the family of Susan Baker (nee Hiller), beloved wife and best friend of Don
announce the passing on March 10, 2025 at the age of 74 years. Cherished mother of Connie. Adored
grandmother of Adrian (Sarah), Andy, Aerial and Mackenzie, and Great Grandmother of Dustin and
Bryson.
Predeceased by her son, Cory Baker, parents, Gordon and Helen Hiller, parents-in-law, Albert and
Dorothy Baker, brothers, Phillip and John Hiller, brother-in-law, Sid Guy, sister-in-law, Judy Hiller, sister-
in-law, Anne Baker, and brother-in-law, Ron Baker.
Sue will always be remembered for her fun-loving ways by her siblings Joanne Arndt, Mary Guy, Joseph
and Jackie Hiller, Mark and Elaine Hiller, Joel Hiller, Helen and Bert Riediger, Michael and Barb Hiller,
Elizabeth and Keith Shantz, Steve and Kathy Hiller, Jane and Stewart Shantz and Doug and Marilyn Hiller,
and in-laws, Ray and Phylles Baker and Terry Baker and many nieces and nephews. Also remembered by
Meelee, a special friend to Susan and her family, and cherished friends who became family are Tammy,
Kevin Wells and family.
Sue cherished family gatherings and spending time with friends. She delighted in different genres of
music and dance.
She was a special friend to many co-workers at Sunbeam Residential Centre where she worked 39 years.
Her love for each resident she cared for at Sunbeam Residential Centre was always above and beyond.
Her passion for her job was inspirational to all who knew her.
Special thank you to Susan’s doctors, Dr. DeCarolis and Dr. Tan, and the excellent care given from
Hospice Waterloo Region staff.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Please watch for later details.
