Melville Austin Ramage (Austin) passed away at the Meaford General Hospital on December 31, 2024 in his 89th year. Husband of the late Audrey Ramage (née Hooper); survived by his children Robert and Elizabeth of Georgetown, Paul and Wendi-Lee of Owen Sound, Catherine and Steven of St. Catharines, David of Rocklyn, and Susan of Meaford. Loving grandpa to twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Dear brother to Betty Erickson. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughters Debra and Joan and his parents Fraser and Olive Ramage, his siblings Edythe and Mervyn Dixon, Russell and Anna-Lee Ramage, Laura and Ralph Middlebrook, and Roger Ramage. Austin was an active member of the Rocklyn and Meaford communities. Austin got his P.H.D. (Pot Hole Doctor) when he was Road Superintendent for Euphrasia township. He will be missed by many. Arrangements entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services. Interment of cremated remains at McLean’s Cemetery, Bognor. Austin’s Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Thank you to the nurses, doctors, and staff at the Meaford General Hospital for their wonderful care.
