Arthur Radke Obituary
Arthur Radke, a cherished husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital at the age of 92. His devotion to his wife Mathilde was the cornerstone of a love story that blossomed over the decades, filled with mutual respect and affection.
Together, Arthur and Mathilde raised a family that was a reflection of their love and values. Their children, Frank (Tracy), Dave (Cathy) and their late daughter Lorraine, were brought up in a home where love was abundant, and life lessons were imparted through Arthur’s practical wisdom. He was a loving Grandpa of Christopher, Jessica (Dave), Emily, Kyle, and Dylan (Ellie) and he was a proud great-grandpa of Riley, Ryder, Gabby, Willa and one on the way. Dear brother of Irma (Hannes) and Ingrid. Predeceased by his brothers Helmut and Eduard. Arthur will be fondly remembered by John and Janice Fenyves and his many nieces and nephews. Art was a well known local gunsmith, an avid hunter and a competitive sport shooter where he acquired many trophies.
A Visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St, S Renfrew on Wednesday October 8th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church Renfrew on Thursday October 9th at 2:00 pm. Interment St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to Ottawa Heart Institute or the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Dialysis Unit.
