Wilson, Arnold Kitchener
6 December 1937 – 13 March 2025
It’s with great sadness that we announce that Arnold Kitchener Wilson passed away peacefully at his daughter Sharon and son-in-law Mike’s home at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Joan Wilson (2021) of 64 years.
Loving and proud father to Susan (Brian), Cindy (Trent), Sharon (Mike), and Dan (Paula).
Cherished grandfather of Jeremy (Jen), Adam (Lisa), Jamie (Jen), Tammy (Aaron), Sarah (Steve), Cassandra (Keith), David (Tiffany), Michael (Diane), Christine (Dan), and Stephen (Nicole). Adoring great-grandfather to Addison, Charlize, Brooklynn, Kyla, and Jordan; Aiden, Noah, Jackson, and William; Marisa, Maddy, Nora, Sam, Porter, Blake and Jason; Scarlett and Benjamin. Pa to Silas, Elijah, and Ezra.
Caring older brother to Linda (Paul), Doug (Carol), Porky (Bev) and brother-in-law to Darlene (Cliff), Colleen and Nancy.
Arnold will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends.
Arnold had spent most of his life living in Alton. He retired from the Ford Motor Company after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Belfountain Church and built some wonderful friendships there. He enjoyed deer hunting with the guys, playing cards and stopping in to have a meal with his family. Although his copilot (Joan) had passed, he still enjoyed the scenic routes travelling around in his Bronco.
Arnold will be laid to rest at the Alton Cemetery and there will be a Celebration of Life for both Arnold and Joan in the Spring.
