With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Dad and Nonno. Passed away at Deer Park Villa, Grimsby on Friday January 24, 2025, at the age of 93. Beloved husband for 65 years of Maria (nee Megna). Loved father of Peter (Debra), Paul (Nikki), Rose Silenzi (Mark) and Grace Nardini (Ron). Cherished Nonno of Shirley, Anthony, Marie, Jeannine, Ryan (Jackie), Alyssia, Daniella, Edward, Erika and Bisnonno of Paolo and Nora. Predeceased by his parents Rosaria and Pietro Ceravolo. Dear brother of Rosina, Giuseppe, Bettina, Maria, and Andrea. Also lovingly remembered by his family in Catanzaro, Italy and The Megna Family. Tony had a fondness for his garden, wine/sausage/sauce making and consumption of but most of all his grand/great grandchildren. Family would like to thank the outstanding staff at Deer Park Villa for making his last days his best – he was at his happiest playing bingo, being the social butterfly in the hall and watching all the action from his post in front of the nursing station.
The world is a lot less bright without Tony.
Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Thursday January 30, 2025, from 4-8 p.m. with Prayer Vigil at 4 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene Roman Catholic Church, 232 Queenston Road (at Parkdale), Hamilton on Friday January 31, 2025, at 10 a.m. Entombment Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. If desired, memorial contributions to The Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
