It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Ante Ostojic, born January 23, 1943 in Bijakovici, Medugorje, Hercegovina, passing away February 12, 2025 in the Georgetown Hospital.
He is reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife Mara. Loving father to Sandra (Damir) and Denis. Proud and loving Dedo to Maks. He will always be remembered by his brother Branko and sister in law Ruza. predeceased by his brothers Ljubo and Nedjeljko (Nedo) and sister Ana. Also left grieving are families Ostojic, Mijatovic, Vasilj, Brajkovic, Medic, Ljubic, Schomer, Dujmovic and Krndelj, many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends in Canada and Hercegovina.
Family and friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905)-877-3631 on Monday, February 17, 2025 from 2:00-5:00 pm. Krunica (prayers) will be held in the chapel at 4:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Queen of Peace Croatian Franciscan Centre 9118 Winston Churchill Blvd., Norval on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Georgetown. Reception to follow at the Queen of Peace Reception Hall.
