Mathieson, Ann Christine “Annie”
Passed away at her home in Orillia on Saturday April 19th, 2025, after a long illness.
Born in Toronto on May 10th, 1953, to parents Louis and Marjorie Klingner. Predeceased by her husband and best friend John Mathieson (2013). She will be forever missed by her sister Nora Wilson and brother-in-law Douglas. She will also be dearly missed by her niece Hillary Powell, nephew Nicholas Wilson, their families and her cousin Moira Gardiner.
Annie was a talented potter, photographer, and creative welder. She had a lifetime love for animals and music. Her favourite times were spent in Cuba with her husband where they made many lifelong friends.
The family would like to offer a very special thank you to her devoted team from Bayshore Private, the nurses and staff from Paramed, and her nurse practitioner Malcolm Morum for their excellent care and compassion. Also, thank you to the staff at OSMH for their care and concern during her many visits.
As per her wishes cremation has taken place, and no service will be held. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Foundation through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street Orillia ( 705 ) 327 0221.
