DECKERS, Anne Marie (September 16, 1933 – February 27, 2025)
Passed away, peacefully at home with most of her loving family by her side, Anne Marie (Meseure) Deckers a longstanding resident of King Crescent, Courtland formerly of St. Williams, Ontario at the age of 91.
Born in France. Amedee and Anne Marie came to Canada from Belgium in 1957. They worked at a number of places in tobacco and actually worked together at McConnell’s Nursery, Port Burwell.
Anne Marie is predeceased by her much-loved husband Amedee (June 5, 2014). Anne Marie loved gardening, puzzling and her dog companion ‘Peanut.’’ She loved her family very much and had a lot of happiness in their presence.
Anne Marie was loved “Meme” mother and mother-in-law of: a daughter Lillian (Stefaan Remmerie), Courtland; a son the late Bernard Deckers who predeceased her last year (survived by a daughter-in-law Joanne Deckers), Simcoe; and a son John Pierre Deckers, Langton. Loved grandmother of seven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Survived by a sister Rolande in Roeselare, Belgium. Predeceased by her parents Leon Meseure and Marie Louise (Vanhee) Meseure and her brothers and her sisters all in Belgium.
