Anne died peacefully with her loving niece and caregiver, Jessica Cross staying by her side. Anne always said, she was the daughter she never had.
Anne was predeceased by her Son Geoffrey Cross.
Loving mother of Sheldon Cross. Grandmother of Joshua Cross and Jenna Cross. Anne was born in BC
Anne got her life start in Montreal, then raised her sons and half the neighbourhood in Ottawa. Many to this day refer to her as Mom C or Mrs. C. When her boys were grown, Anne returned to her home in BC. First North Van, then retiring to Parksville. Anne volunteered with the dog rescue and did volunteer work with the Legion.
You may have seen her selling poppies for Remembrance Day, or at Sand Castles. She’d be the lady that would say.” Go enjoy the Sand Castles. I’ll watch your dog”. Anne was always the caregiver. She took care of her brother Dick, then her son Geoffrey and in later years her partner Ron. Anne had a great sense of humour and a love of jazz. She will be greatly missed by many. Thank you so much to the staff and caregivers at Eagle Park for their care and patience. Thank you for your compassion keeping her comfortable in her last days.
