With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Anne Harty (White) on February 6, 2025. Anne was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother.
Anne shared 55 wonderful years with her loving husband, Martin. Together, they built a life in the Goulds filled with love, laughter, and adventure, raising their four children—David (Kim), Jay (deceased), Lee (Colleen), and Matthew (Barbie). Anne’s family was her world, and she found immense joy in her grandchildren—Zachary, Joshua, Benjamin, and Thomas—showering them with love, imparting wisdom, and delighting them with her famous home-cooked meals.
She cherished her lifelong friendships with Donna and Betty, a bond that was unbreakable and filled with a lifetime of shared memories, laughter, and love.
Anne was a compassionate and dedicated practical nurse who spent her life caring for others. Her kindness and selflessness touched many lives, both professionally and personally. She will be remembered for her unwavering empathy, her love of family, and her commitment to helping others.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to the wonderful staff at Lanes Retirement Living for their exceptional care and support throughout Anne’s journey.
Visitation will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Saturday, February 8th, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 9th, at 11:00 a.m. at Barrett’s Mount Pearl Chapel. Interment following at St. Kevin’s Cemetery, Goulds.
Flowers are gratefully accepted, or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre in Anne’s memory.
