Anna Pickran (Hauser)
June 24, 1933 – March 8, 2025
Anna Pickran passed away at the age of 91. She leaves behind her devoted son, Hildor, and his wife, Sue, along with her two grandchildren, Faith and Caleb, whom she loved dearly and cherished as her pride and joy.
Anna was born in Tarutino, Bessarabia. She was predeceased by her parents, Reinhard and Rosina Mittelstadt as well as her beloved brother, Woldemar. She is also remembered fondly by her nephews Manfred, Udo, and Klaus.
After moving to Calgary Alberta, Anna was married to Werner Pickran with whom she shared the greatest blessing of her life-her son. Later in life, she married Otto Hauser. She embraced his three children, Gisela (Eric), Eva (Harry), and Rolf (Joanne), and their children as part of her extended family. After Otto’s passing, Anna moved to Ontario to be closer to her son and family.
After years of suffering from dementia and later facing physical challenges, Anna is now fully healed and in the presence of her Lord and Savior and reunited with loved ones who have gone before her.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff on Sunrise Court at Shalom Manor in Grimsby for their compassionate care in her final years.
Visitation will take place at Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 9-10 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan’s Purse in Anna’s memory.
