It is with deep sorrow and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of
Angela (Angie) Mae Taylor – Kester, on May 19th, at the age of 56.
Born on May 3, 1969, in Brockville, Ontario, Angie was a devoted Mother, proud Nana,
loving Sister, and a compassionate nurse who touched countless lives. Of all her roles,
being a mother was her greatest pride and joy — she poured her heart into raising her
children and never missed a chance to celebrate their accomplishments. Alongside
motherhood, her career as a Registered Nurse was another defining part of her life, and
she gave everything she had to both.
Angie lived with passion and light. She enjoyed traveling to sunny places, meeting new
people, and soaking up the warm weather. She also loved spending time outdoors and
found comfort in camping and being in nature. Baseball was another favourite —
whether she was playing or watching, it brought out her competitive spirit and love of
fun. Angie had a magnetic personality and a zest for life that shone brightest when she
was singing, dancing, laughing, and surrounded by those she loved. Christmas was her
favorite time of year — a season she made magical with her warmth, generosity, joyful
spirit, and Kenny and Dolly playing in the background.
Though Angie faced many challenges throughout her life, she met them with strength,
resilience, and unwavering determination. They never defined her. What defined Angie
was her incredible drive, her deep love for her children and grandchildren, and her
selfless dedication to caring for others as a nurse, which she was so proud to be. Her
legacy is one of fierce love, enduring strength, and a heart that gave so much to so
many.
Angie is survived by her loving children, Kaila Sisson (Joey) and Dustin Kester, and her
cherished granddaughters, Addilyn and Ivy Sisson, who brought immeasurable joy to
her life. She also leaves behind her devoted sisters, Tonya Render (Bill) and Lori Covill
(Dave), as well as her beloved nieces and nephews: Jessica and Dylan Render, Cody
Liezert (Rebecca), Katie Salmon (Matt), and Krista Disheau (Spencer). Angie was a
proud great-aunt to Ella Salmon, and will be dearly missed by her extended family of
aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her loyal canine companion, Lilly, was always by her side
and brought her comfort and joy.
Angie was predeceased by her parents, Sally Taylor (St. John) and Robert Taylor.
Angie will be remembered for her laughter, her courage, and the deep, abiding love she
gave to everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be missed beyond measure
and forever held in our hearts.
In accordance with Angela’s wishes, no formal service will be held.
To honor her memory and her love of gardening, the family invites you to plant a flower,
tree, or garden in her name — a lasting tribute to Angie — may her love continue to
grow and her memory never fade.
As an expression of sympathy, donations made in Angela’s name to the BGH Palliative
Care would be deeply appreciated. This would be a meaningful tribute to her caring and
compassionate heart as a nurse.
We hope you’re dancing in the sky mom, we love you beyond measure and miss you
endlessly. Until we meet again. Your pride and joy – Kaila & Dustin.
