Anne (Andy or Onne) Hoiting
The Lord called unto Himself Andy Hoiting on February 28, 2025 at the age of 83. Predeceased by him mother, Hendricka in 1977 and his father, Hendrik in 1987, followed by his sister Jetske in 1995 & his sister-in-law Viola (John) and leaves behind his older brother John in North Carolina.
Andy was born in Hoogemeeden in Holland on May 16, 1941. He immigrated to Canada in !949 with his family. They frist lived in Hamilton, Ontario where his dad worked at Dominion Foundries, then they moved onto a dairy farm in Grassie in 1954. Andy Built a new home on the farm after his father passed away. Andy remained a bachelor all his life…he had many farmer friends, who would often meet at Fulton Hwy 20 for coffee, he was kept busy with the farm and would regularly travel to the states to stay with his brother of a visit. Andy sold the cattle and he moved to WesLi Gardens, Smithville on June 26, 2012.
Andy Will be missed by his brother John, friends, special friend Thelma and church family.
Interment will be held March 4, 2025, 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Following the interment a Funeral Service will be held in Smithville Canadian Reformed Church at 11:00 a.m.
