After a brief struggle, Andy passed peacefully on August 5, 2025 at 81 years of age, just shy of his 82nd birthday. Cherished husband and best friend of Joyce (nee Russell) for 59 years. Loving father of Troy (Terra Arnason) and Tricia (John Leach). Dear grandfather of Jace, Tyler, Cory and Alexandra. Survived by his sister Leslie Hazlett, and predeceased by his sisters Sarah Jubenville and Nancy Canzi. Forever remembered by Ellen and Michael, and will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Over the years, Andy was the glue that kept his many circles of friendships together and the parties going.
He was a retiree of Ford Motor Company after 30+ years of dedicated service. A proud longtime member of the Knights of Columbus Assembly #2289, and 4th degree Knight. He was involved in Windsor East Little League, Windsor Minor Hockey, and very active in the Catholic Church.
Andy was a talented woodworker, enjoyed golf, drawing, traveling, yelling at “overpaid athletes” and absolutely loved life, with his last words being “Thanks for the party”.
If you so desire, memorial donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm (Knights of Columbus prayer time to be determined) at FAMILIES FIRST 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor. (519) 969-5841. On Monday, August 11, 2025 family and friends may gather at Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum Rd.) after 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am.
