Ana Elsa Wilton (Sotolongo), 90, passed away peacefully in Collingwood, Ontario, on April 27, 2025. Right to the end, Ana showed unfailing grace and kindness to others.
Ana was much loved and cherished by her husband, John (deceased), her children John (Jo-Anne), Ana (David) and her 3 adoring granddaughters, Noelle, Abigail and Thea Wilton.
Ana’s parents relocated from Spain to Cuba to start a new chapter in their lives. She was born in Yaguajay, Las Villas, Cuba on November 14, 1935. She was the middle of 8 children. She was raised by her parents in a loving home who instilled solid values, the importance of family, and a strong influence on music, dancing and cooking. All of which she carried throughout her life.
Friends are invited to join the family at the Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood for visitation on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Clearview Community Church – Collingwood Campus, 20 Batteaux Road, Nottawa on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 11 o’clock with Pastor Jason Burt officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Private interment First Presbyterian Cemetery. If desired, donations in memory of Ana to the Clearview Community Church – Collingwood Campus, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation for Campbell House would be appreciated by the family.
