MULDER: ARENDJE (ALY)
Suddenly on her way home from a wonderful vacation in Saint Maarten, on May 4, 2025, Arendje (Aly) Mulder (nee Van Dijk) passed away at the age of 71. Aly Mulder was a beloved wife for almost 51 years of Frederik Mulder and friend to many. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Born on April 9, 1954, Aly grew up in Ruinen, Drenthe, the Netherlands, immigrated to Canada when she was 18, and married Frederik Mulder in 1974. She was known for her big personality, generous heart, and acts of kindness. She cherished her life on the farm, enjoyed spending time in her backyard, and actively contributed to the farm’s operations. She dedicated her life to her husband, family, and those in need by making significant contributions to the community.
Aly is survived by her loving husband Fred Mulder; her children Laura Mulder & Donny Rivers, Rita & Warren Woodiwiss, Jan & Chris Neutel, Lucia & Josh Dietz; her grandchildren Koldan, Aliyah & Sawyer, Lily & Logan, Alana (Jason), John, Eric & Casey, Harlow, Jagger, Foxton, & Loxley; great grandchildren Kane, Koen & Ayla; her brother Henk Van Dijk (Tineke); her sisters children Jan-Willem, Rita, Berdien, Kenny & Stefan, Tom & Lisa; her brother-in-law Benard Korten; her husband’s brothers & sister Ralph (Mary) Mulder, Pete (Birgit) Mulder, Tony (Jane) Mulder, Harry John (Margaret) Mulder, Lucas (Willeke) Mulder, Tina (Henry) Valkenburg, Tim (Cheryl) Mulder & Arnold (Sharon) Mulder; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Jan & Hendrika (Middelveld) Van Dijk; her sister Jenny Korten (Van Dijk); Lucas & Lammie (Steenbergen) Mulder; and her niece Lisa Mulder.
Friends will be received at Falconer Funeral Home on Friday, May 9, 2025, 2-4pm and 6-8pm and the funeral service will be held at the Brucefield Community United Church, on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11am. where friends and family will gather to celebrate Aly’s life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a Breast Cancer Clinic, in honor of Aly’s memory.
