It is with profound sadness we announce Allan’s passing at Health Sciences North on Saturday February 22, 2025 at the age of 92 years.
Predeceased by his parent’s Emil and Aune (Niemi). Predeceased by his Wife Audrey (Antler)2017. Devoted father to Brian (Elaine) and Brent (Sharon). Sadly missed by his Grandchildren Craig (Laura), Leah (Jordan) , Great Grandchildren Natalie , Mason and Riley , extended family Shane (Rachelle), Sam, Olivia , Brad ,Tyler , and Cole .
Allan started his career as an automotive mechanic with Gardner Motors in 1950, then McLeod’s Motors, and became self employed starting Al’s Alignment in Walden in 1977, up until his retirement. Allan had a strong work ethic and was always there when a hand was needed no matter the task. Allan had a passion for hunting, fishing, flying, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing.
Our family would like to send a sincere thank you to everyone in Lodge 2 at Pioneer Manor, who cared for Allan over the last 2 years. Honouring Allan’s request, there will be no funeral or visitation, funeral arrangements entrusted to Park Lawn Cremation Services. If so desired, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society in Allan’s memory
