It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Alice Whittle of Baine Harbour announces her passing. Alice passed away at the U.S. Memorial Health Centre in St. Lawrence on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at the age of 80.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband, Austin of 60 years; sons, Wayne Whittle (Susan) of Ontario and David Whittle (Holly) of Marystown; daughter, Brenda Butler (Bob) of Baine Harbour; 5 grandchildren, Lucas (Rebecca), Jessica, Austin, Michael (Amanda) and Bailey; 2 great-granddaughters, Isla and Livi; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Alice was predeceased by her parents, Susanna & Joseph Clarke; sisters, Marcella Gaulton, Gertie DesRoches and Lavina DesRoches; and parents-in-law, Cyril & Winnie Whittle.
Special thank you to the staff at U.S. Memorial Health Centre in St. Lawrence for the exceptional care given to Alice during her stay.
In honoring her wishes cremation will take place.
The Whittle Family will be accepting visitors at Peninsula Funeral Home, Creston South on:
Sunday, February 9th
10am – 12noon
2pm – 4pm
7pm -9pm
A funeral service will take place at Peninsula Funeral Home, Creston South on:
Monday, February 10, 2025 at 11am.
Inurnment to follow at St. Mark’s Anglican Cemetery, Baine Harbour.
In Alice’s memory donations may be made to The Whittle Family or flowers gratefully accepted.
