Albert Hunter Obituary
On Saturday January 4th, 2025 in his 91st year, with his wife Lois (nee Noble) of 55 years by his side. Albert, cherished Dad of Sharon (Larry Foster) of Ottawa, Carolyn (Ryan Harrison) of Port Elgin, and predeceased by his son Dennis.
Born in Strathclair, Manitoba and a resident of Port Elgin for over 50 years. Dad enjoyed daily walks downtown, Port Elgin Pumpkinfest, long drives with Mom to Barrie, attending Highland Games to watch his girls compete, and Curling.
Dad was a Steamfitter by trade and now a retired union member of Local 46.
When his son was in Sick Kids Hospital, he tirelessly drove weekly to Toronto while working and taking care of his two girls at home.
A kind and sensitive soul, he will be missed here on Earth.
Private interment at Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin.
In remembrance, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
