Alban Gaudet Obituary
Alban Gaudet of Memramcook passed away at the CHU Dr. Georges L. Dumont on Saturday January 4, 2025 at the age of 75. Born in St-Joseph on April 25, 1949, he was the son of the late Louis and Alice (Gauvin) Gaudet.
He was a VP at Armour Transportation Systems until his retirement in 2019 where he spent 40 years of his life. His dedication, hard work, and fairness, earned him tremendous respect from ownership, employees, and suppliers alike. He was also a very generous person and helped multiple organizations especially in his home village of Memramcook.
He will be sadly missed by his son, Michel (Yvette) Gaudet of Memramcook, one daughter, Lisa (Selena) Gaudet of Grande Cache, AB, his pride and joy his two grandchildren Maxime and Mireille (Niko). He never missed a game of hockey or ringette and travelled to all their tournaments no matter the location. He was their biggest fan and supporter and he cherished them with all his heart, three sisters, Helen (Bill) Hackett of Ottawa, Yolande (Jean-Yves) Loubert of Montreal and Carmelle (Renaud) Descamprieux of Ottawa, two brothers, Clement (Corinne) Gaudet of Memramcook and Armand (Linda) Gaudet of Moncton, Selena’s children, Kyra and Skylar and by several nieces and nephews. Beside his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Linda and three brothers Euclide, Georgio and Donald.
Visitations will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Thursday January 9 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm only. Funeral mass will be held at St-Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic Church, St-Joseph on Friday January 10 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held at the parish cemetery.
A special thank you to Ginette St-Onge, Janik St-Onge, Paulette Cormier and the late Pauline LeBlanc for the friendship and companionship that you gave Alban throughout his illness these past 5 years.
Thank you to the medical staff of the CHU George L. Dumont and especially to Dre. Nathalie Grant and Dre. Marie-Claude Savoie and the staff of Unit 3E. A special recognition to Véronique, Steve, Mariève, Nahid, Paul, and Marcel for the professionalism and compassion that you showed for our father. Also thank you to Dr. Cédric Wybouw for the great medical care over many years.
