Albert William Smith, age 86, of Stratford, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. Born in Toronto, son of the late William and Margaret (Falkner) Smith. Survived by his wife Loralee (Williams) Smith and predeceased by his first wife Dayle (Page) Smith.
Proud father of Elaine Vollmer and stepfather of Jennifer Meloche, Amy (Terry) Ramsay and Andrew Wiper. Loving Grandpa of Erin Vollmer, Craig Vollmer and Tara (Devan) Zaruk, Beau (Andrea), Daniel, Tayte, Cassandra (Horasher), ShaShanah, Gregory, Jonathan (Rianna), Laurissa (Musa), Breckin, Arianna and Bentley. Great Grandfather of Emberlee and Atticus. Beloved brother of Lois Smith.
Besides his parents and his wife, Albert was predeceased by his son Sgt. Kelly Smith, his sister Lorraine Raymond and son-in-law David Vollmer.
Al cherished his times with family and friends and loved playing pool with his Oxford Street pals. He was a proud Legion member for 50 years and in recent years had become a voracious diamond dotter.
Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Albert’s life on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 2-4 pm in the Reception Centre of the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford.
