Agnes Lorraine Spencer, Wabshki-gonay-gahbahwiik
Sadly the family announces the passing of Agnes Spencer 91 of Seine River First Nation on Friday March 14, 2025 at the La Verendrye Hospital Fort Frances.
Agnes was born March 11, 1934 in Couchiching First Nation to parents Ben and Madeline Johnson. She united in marriage to George Spencer and together they raised their family in Seine River. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. In her younger years she would spend time outdoors doing traditional tasks with the seasons. She was a generous and kind soul.
She will be greatly missed by her children Barbara, Walden (Gloria), Cecilia (Tom), Norma, Roger (Shannon), numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her sister Virginia.
Agnes was predeceased by her husband George, her children Marvin, Arnold and her siblings Margaret, Louise, Jack and many extended family members.
A traditional service will be held at the Seine River First Nation Gym on Tuesday March 18, 2025 at 4 p.m. followed by traditional service on Wednesday March 19, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with Elder Tommy Councillor officiating. Interment to follow in the community.
Pall Bearers will be Damian Spencer, Tyler Johnson, Talbot Johnson Jr. Rodney Spencer, Aaron Johnson, Karl Johnson, Nicholas Spencer.
Honourary Pall Bearers will be Nico Blight-Spencer, Christopher Spencer, Virginia Kabatay, Sarah Geyshick, Steve Spencer and Susan Johnson.
Arrangements entrusted to Northridge Funeral Home.
