With broken
hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Ada Mae Ross (nee
O’Connor), age 96, on Sunday, February 16, 2025, surrounded
by the love of her family. Beloved wife of the late Lincoln Ross.
Ada was born in East Royalty, PE, on April 10,
1928, daughter of the late John and Jemima (Buell)
O’Connor. She will be dearly missed by her loving children,
Linda (Bob) Taylor, Garry Ross, Terry (Chris) Ross, Tammy (Stephen)
MacKinnon and Timmy Ross; 14 cherished grandchildren; 8 adored great
grandchildren; siblings, Oral O’Connor, Mary Trenholm, Roddy
(Marilyn) O’Connor; sister-in-law Fanny O’Connor
and many nieces and nephews. Besides, her parents and beloved husband,
Ada was predeceased by brothers, Andrew, Elmer, Aulden and Jim;
sisters, Elizabeth, Lena, Janie.
Resting at
Ferguson Logan Funeral Home with a Graveside Service in Belfast
Cemetery to be held later this spring. In lieu of flowers, donations
to Inclusion’s East or IWK Foundation would be appreciated.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Terry Magennis for his
attentiveness, care and compassion in his care for Ada; thank you to
the Paramedics that came and stayed and showed so much kindness; and
to the Palliative Home Care Nurses, Mallory and Josie, your kindness
and compassion towards Ada and our family has made this very difficult
time just a little easier.
