Abby Kirby Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved daughter, Abby-Gayl Kirby, whose beautiful journey on earth was tragically cut short on December 18, 2024. Abby left this world surrounded by her loving family.

Growing up in Amaranth, Manitoba, Abby formed an unbreakable bond with her family and created lifelong friendships with her many cousins. She shared a sisterly connection with her cousins Natasha and Martina Whitford, who were not just family but her closest confidantes. They lovingly referred to themselves as “The Jungle Rollers,” spending nearly every day together, sharing laughter and adventures. As they grew into young adults, they playfully became known as “The Glenny-Gayls,” honoring her fun-loving Uncle Glenn, who shared in their joy and laughter.
Abby spent a lot of time at the Children’s Hospital as a little girl but with the support of her parents, she overcame whatever struggles she faced. Her zest for life was never tarnished by any of her health issues, as she always remained the happy, funny, crazy girl we all knew & loved.
Abby met Darren in Amaranth, she often joked that he came over with his bags on the first date & never left. That was it, he was the one. They then moved to Southport where they were raising their 3 children together.
Abby-Gayl was an incredible mother to her babies, they always came first, before anything. They were her entire world & she made sure they knew that everyday. She also had a special relationship with her godchildren, Bonnie & Dychelle.
Abby was known for her amazing sense of humor, her laughter was medicine in times of need. She had various jobs but ultimately, her true joy was becoming a homemaker and keeping her children safe. She loved spending time with her family, her parents, her cousins, her friends, playing with makeup with her daughter. She will forever be known for her love of many things including long lashes, funny videos, Blink-182, making memories and above all, creating her own little family.
