Obituary of Audrey Jean Hodder
Audrey Jean Hodder, 84, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Pine Tree, passed away peacefully, Monday, September 15th, in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow surrounded by the love of her family
Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Leslie Charles and Jean Ann (Robson) Murray. She was devoted member to the Sutherlands River Presbyterian Church for many years, Audrey loved volunteering at Camp Geddie in the kitchen during her time with the church. She loved teaching youth group every Sunday evening she could. Family was very important to her, she enjoyed every family barbeque and holiday meal as well playing cards and doing puzzles with her siblings.
Surviving are her daughter Donna (Bob) Cameron; son, Jim (Cora) Hodder, David (Heather) Hodder; brothers, Ernie Murray; John (Frances) Murray and Many nieces and nephews as well many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Hodder; son, Charles; sisters, Edna (Clarence) Stewart, Effie in infancy; brother, Charles “Charlie” (Julie) Murray; Nephew, Robbie Vincent Stewart; sister-in-law Anita Murray and many more beloved relatives from Newfoundland.
The family will receive visitors 1 p.m. Monday, September 22 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. with Mr. John Reeves officiating. Interment will be at Church Brook Cemetery.
Donations may be made in Audrey’s memory to Church Brook Cemetery Association .
