Michael George Bradley – March 12, 1952 – August 23, 2025.
With sadness, but with love in our hearts for the life he shared with us, we announce the passing of Michael George Bradley, age 73, after a short but courageous battle with rapidly progressing dementia.
Michael leaves behind “his girls”: Krista Manning (and Jeff), Courtney Gedeon (and JP), and his lifelong dancing partner—both on and off the ice—Linda.
He is also mourned by his sister, Dianne Rainbow, and brothers Peter (d. 2011) and Paul Bradley. Sad to say goodbye to their grandpa are Michael’s grandchildren, Ryan and James Roop, and Sophia Gedeon. He was also “Grandpa B” to Jacob Manning, Mikkel and Chloe Gedeon.
Michael was a cherished uncle to Leslie Ann Bradley, Betty Jo Duvenage, Jeff Bradley (d. 2003), Adam Bradley, Janet Rainbow-Harding, Steven Rainbow, and Colin, Shane,
and Ryan Ward. He was a brother-in-law to Judy Ward and Jill Bradley. Mark Giles (Uncle Mark) brought 68 years of friendship to Michael and was a true supporter of “his buddy,” with many life memories shared over the years. Born and raised in Unionville, Ontario, to Bill and Bernice Bradley, Michael became an accomplished national and international competitive figure skater in his early years. He won medals, traveled, and trained overseas with Linda before turning professional.
As a professional, he taught figure skating in various cities and performed in the original Stars on Ice television show, as well as in Toller Cranston’s televised ice show, Strawberry Ice. Michael also served as President of the Markham Skating Club for several years, combining his business acumen and creative talents—especially during Ice Show season, which brought him great joy. His true calling came in 1981 when he joined Moore Corp. as a sales representative in the business forms and printing industry. A natural salesman and showman, Michael thrived in a field that valued customer service and client relationships—qualities he embodied wholeheartedly.
Throughout his long and successful career with Moore and later RR Donnelley, Michael worked in both Toronto and Vancouver, earning numerous achievement awards that took him to Florida, Hawaii, and Monte Carlo.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
