Jeffrey David James Archie, age 50, of St. Louis Park, MN, began his journey to the spirit world on July 29, 2025, surrounded by ceremony and his loved ones.
“Ma sa na qwad,” red cloud and Makwa Doodem—Jeff was raised on Big Grassy River First Nation and born in Rainy River, Ontario, Canada. He spent his adult life in the Twin Cities, MN, but always planned to retire with his wife back home in Big Grassy. He was raised by his loving grandfather, James Archie Sr., who meant the world to him and helped shape the strong, generous, and spiritual man he became. Jeff also had a deep and special bond with his mother-in-law, Renita Sailor.
Jeff was a devoted husband and soulmate to Victoria “Cabby” Archie for 22 years, and a proud girl dad to Izabella Chaboyea, Liyah Archie, Reyna Archie, and bonus daughters Jozzilyn and Jhourney Sailor. His love for his daughters was powerful and visible—you could see it in his eyes and feel it in every moment. He ended nearly every sentence with “love you babe.” He was a dedicated powwow dad, traveling across the country to support his girls, coaching their dancing, and perfecting their techniques. Jeff gave his children the world, ensuring they were raised with love, adventure, and culture.
A Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker and true master of his craft, Jeff’s work lives on throughout the Twin Cities. For over 25 years, he brought unmatched skill, pride, and dedication to every project, earning respect throughout his trade and community.
Jeff was also the co-founder of Wild Harvest Lemonade, a business he and Cabby built with heart and intention. Whether behind the stand at powwows or offering free lemonade to those in need, Jeff showed up with quiet generosity. His laughter, positivity, and presence always shined through.
He is survived by his soulmate/wife Cabby; daughters Izabella, Liyah, Reyna (Adrian) Jozzilyn, and Jhourney; and his grandkitties Gunther, Graycee, and Kinsey.
He is also survived by his siblings: Crystal Hawk, Olivia Wright (Ronald)
