The family announces with great sorrow his unexpected death at home on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at the age of 77 years. Loving husband of 56 years to Judi Slattery (nee Tonelli); beloved father to Jason Slattery (Katie MacDonald), Kari Slattery, and Joey Slattery (Jenn); cherished grandfather to Aine Fazzoli. Dear brother to Lorna Del Guidice (Roger) and Joan Dole (late Tom). Also survived by his sister-in-law Gina Tonelli and his brother-in-law Ray St. Cartier, as well as many nieces and nephews from the Slattery and Tonelli families.
He was predeceased by his parents Percy and Mary Slattery, his sister Kathren Slattery; his parents-in-law Nello and Vivian Tonelli; his sister-in-law Joyce St. Cartier and his brother-in-law Gary Tonelli.
The family will receive friends on Thursday July 3, 2025 from 7-9 pm at LESSARD Funeral and Cremation Centre. Funeral service will be held on Friday July 4, 2025 at 2pm at St. Anthony’s Cathedral, with Fr. John Lemire officiating. Interment will follow at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
