Obituary of Bonnie Ross
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bonnie Ross (Myers), a resident of Florence, and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and dedicated community member, who left us peacefully at Four Counties Health Services, Newbury on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at the age of 68.
Born in Chatham, daughter of Lois (Cumberland) Myers (Late Jim). Beloved wife of Doug Ross. Loving mother of Brady Ross (Lisa),Brendan Ross (Alicia), and Brittany Ford (Jake). Proud Grandma of Cohen, Elle, Lila, Ava, Lacey, Oaklyn, Bowie, and Rhodes. Dear sister of Ron Myers (Wendy), Garry Myers (Veronica), Laurie McCabe (Allan), and David Myers (Lisa). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by an infant daughter Brea, and grandchildren Beau and Wiarton.
Bonnie’s life was defined by love, resilience, and service. She met the love of her life at just 20 years old, and their bond remained unbreakable throughout the years. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, strength, and unwavering support for each other.
A proud and devoted mother, Bonnie cherished her family deeply and considered watching her family grow as one of life’s greatest joys. Her grandchildren were her pride and delight—each of them lovingly spoiled and endlessly cherished.
Bonnie was a passionate and selfless member of the Florence community. She served actively with the Florence Agricultural Society and the Florence Community Centre, where she handled event bookings and lent her time generously. She also contributed to the Bothwell Minor Hockey Association and was a dedicated member of the Florence Optimist Club. Always enthusiastic about staying connected, she played a key role in planning high school reunions over the years.
Though she faced significant health challenges, Bonnie defied all odds and gifted her loved ones nearly 30 extra years of memories, milestones, and love. Her perseverance, spirit, and deep love for her family were a true testament to her strength.
Bonnie’s presence was a blessing, and her legacy of kindness, commitment, and love will live on in all who knew her.
At Bonnie’s request cremation will take place. A Celebration of Bonnie’s Life will be held at Ken Houston Memorial Arena Hall (1212 North St, Dresden) on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM. If desired donations to Four Counties Health Services Foundation would be appreciated. Online condolences and donations may be left at www.badderfuneralhome.com. Arrangements entrusted to the John C. Badder Funeral Home, Thamesville.
