Kenneth (Ken) Albert CHURCH In hospital, Ken passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025 at the age of 89.
Predeceased as a young child by his parents, William and Lavina (Hunt) and later by his beloved Aunt Lil and Uncle Ollie, who brought Ken up until he married the love of his life, – Jean (Maggie Jeanine Larose). Dad is now dancing in heaven with Mom who left us two years ago. Loving father of Sharon Church Thompson (Kevin), Rick Church (Lisa) and Dave Church; grandfather of Scott Thompson (Jayme), Tarah Creppin (Derek), Kirk Thompson (Marie), Connor Church (Holly) and Graedon Church (Katie). Great-grandfather of Colton, Kinley and Brantley Creppin, Loïc and Évelyne Thompson and Koa Church. Predeceased by his siblings and their spouses; Doris, Doreen, Ed, Orville, Bill and Peggy, Maime, Lloyd, Ernie, Gladys. Survived by nieces, nephews and in-laws Roger and Lila Larose.
Dad was known for his wonderful stories and whistling while he worked in his woodshop. He was proud of his work with National Defence and the Geological Survey of Canada.
The family thank the Ottawa Hospital teams, Drs. Nagpal, Tuli, Courchene, Haddad and so many others, along with the caring staff at Orchardview Gardens by the Mississippi. A private memorial was held.
Donations to the Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital Foundation in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
