It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Antonio (Tony) Sellitto, who left us suddenly on May 8, 2025, just one day before his 61st birthday.
A devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, and loyal friend, Tony faced his illness with courage and dignity. A passionate supporter of Napoli’s soccer team, Tony’s warmth, sense of humour, and unwavering love for his family will forever be remembered by all who knew him.
Tony is now reunited in heaven with his beloved father, Francesco. He leaves behind his loving wife, Lucia (Lucy), and his children, Francesca and Gianpaolo, who were the pride and joy of his life. He will be dearly missed by his mother, Imperia, and lovingly remembered by his brother John (Gina), and sister Cathy (Rino). He will always be loved and remembered by his in laws Maria and the late Nunzio Antonellis along with Rita, Paul, Marco (Sonia). Tony’s spirit will also live on in the hearts of his nieces and nephews and his aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., Toronto) on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 2–5 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W., Toronto) on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. Tony will then be laid to rest at Prospect Cemetery (1450 St. Clair Ave. W., Toronto).
In memory of Tony, donations may be made to the Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation, with proceeds directed to palliative care.
