Hamilton, Michael
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Michael George Hamilton (Mike) on April 24, 2025 at 72 years young.
Mike was a loving husband to Margaret, a dedicated father to Shelley (Jordan) and Jessica (Daniel), and a proud “Papa” to his treasured grandchildren Nathan, Ryan, Noah, and Sofia. Caring brother to Pat (Gary), Paul (Ann) a special uncle to Mark, Angie, Jennifer, Jamie and a cherished friend to many who were blessed to know him.
Those who knew Mike remember his generous heart, his steadfast loyalty, and the quiet strength he carried into every room. Whether offering words of wisdom, sharing a laugh, or simply being present, Mike touched countless lives with his kindness and unwavering love.
His greatest joys were his family, his friends, and the simple moments spent surrounded by the people he loved most. Mike found freedom and joy in riding his motorcycle, and it was more than a hobby — it was a symbol of the independence and adventure that defined him. Those who rode alongside him will forever cherish the memories shared on the open road.
His sudden departure leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his spirit lives on in the countless memories shared and the values he instilled in those he loved.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held on May 3, 2025 from 4:30pm-8:30pm, at Port Hope Lions Recreation Center, 29 Thomas Street, Port Hope.
All who loved him are welcome to attend and share their memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in his honor.
He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
