Obituary of Kevin Joseph Paul Leon
KEVIN JOSEPH PAUL LEON
Peacefully passed away at Parkwood Hospital on April 12th, 2025, surrounded by his wife and children. Beloved husband of Cindy (nee Mott) for 46 years. Loving father of Rebecca Grace Leon and Gerald Kevin Leon. Kevin was born in Sydney Cape Breton on August 19, 1957. Predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Irene Leon. Kevin will be missed by his siblings: the late Gordon Leon, Brian Leon (Jane), Wanda Thomas, Joyce Collinet (Gordon), Darryl Leon, Karen Desormo (Ed); Kenny Leon (Debbie), and Shawna MacDougall (Ray). Kevin was a beloved son-in-law of Shirley Mott and brother-in-law of Brenda Brown (late Paul) and Diana Kloc (Charles). He is fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Kevin was an avid baseball player who played fastball in London from the mid 70’s to the early 90’s and then played in Melbourne until 2009. Kevin will be remembered for his love of sports, especially the Montreal Canadiens and St. Louis Cardinals. Kevin dedicated 48 years in the automotive industry, spending 32 years at Battery Supply and 16 at APC before retiring in 2024.

A celebration of life will be held at the Portuguese Club London, 134 Falcon St. London on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 1-4pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kevin to the Brain Tumour Foundation, Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre, or Parkwood Hospital Palliative Care c/o St. Joseph’s Health Foundation, would be appreciated. (John T. Donohue Funeral Home)
