Brenda Ruby Elise (King) Lewis
April 27, 1940 – March 11, 2025
It is with broken hearts, the family announces, Brenda passed away peacefully at the Age Care Aurora Home, Tuesday March 11, 2025 at the age of 84.
Brenda loved flowers, gardening & spending time with her cat Willow. She, also took Jazz and Tap dancing for over 10 years with a ladies group called the Satin Dolls through the Dennis Moore School of Dance. They were very good & competed in competitions.
She enjoyed all kinds of music. She liked Michael Bublé, Ricky Nelson, Rock & Roll including Big Band Music – In the Mood & Sing Sing Sing. Her favourite was Elvis Presley.
Brenda will be greatly missed by daughters Kelly & husband Robert Copplestone and Geraldine (Gerri) & partner Peter Thomas. She was a wonderful grandmother & will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Andy & wife Liz Copplestone and Jessica & husband, Rene’ Chabot.
She will also be dearly missed by sister Bonnie & brother-in-law, Selwyn Hotton. Nieces Andrea Hotton & her family and Tina & husband Dave Mulony & her family. Will also be remembered by Isabelle Hansen.
Predeceased by her husband Jerry (Penrose Fitzgerald) Lewis (2004); parents John (1995) & Ruby (2000) and grandmother Clara Andrews (1977).
Brenda was a wonderful person, feisty, and full of spirit and will be missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday March 13, 2025, at MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, 10366 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, March 14th at 11 a.m. with a visitation 1 hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Humane Society in her memory would be appreciated by the family.
