Obituary of Brian Peter Harder
Brian Peter Harder, resident of Beaverlodge, AB, formerly of Leamington, ON, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at the Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital, at the age of 67 years.
Brian was born in the city of Windsor, ON, May 21, 1957, to parents Benjamin and Helga Harder. He spent his childhood in Leamington. Brian attended Sir Sanford Fleming College of Arts and participated in tree planting across Western Canada, specifically in Alberta and British Columbia. He also constructed log homes for his family in Hines Creek, AB, and in Beaverlodge.
Brian was a devoted Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He was also a dedicated artist who kept on painting until illness made it impossible to hold a paintbrush anymore.
Brian will be sadly missed by his wife Leslie Proudfoot; sons: Ben Harder and Jonah Harder; and his longtime friends from Goodfare, AB.
He was predeceased by his father Benjamin Harder and his mother Helga (Boshman) Harder.
A Memorial for Brian will be held at the family home on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 5:00 pm where attendees will honor his memory by watching the Toronto Maple Leafs take on the Rangers.
