It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norman Charles Couture, a beloved brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend.
Norm passed away suddenly on February 24, 2025, at the age of 61.
Born on April 14, 1963, in Port Colborne, ON, Norm grew up with a deep passion for hunting and fishing, and the outdoors. He was also an avid fan of the Montreal Canadiens, the Buffalo Bills, the Cincinnati Reds, and the Port Colborne Sailors. He was a huge classic rock fan listening to music throughout the day. He was a proud member of both the Anchor Club and Unit 43 of the Canadian Corps where he made and kept many friends.
Norm is survived by his siblings, Dave, Greg (Amber), Debra (Greg Eady), his nephew Evan, niece Leigha (Mason), Aunt Bobby Clark, (late Carl), and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alda (nee Finnen) 2018, and Norman Couture 2021, and many aunts and uncles.
Norm will be remembered for his generosity and his willingness to help. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew him.
The family would like to thank all the first responders and the front line team of the Welland County General Hospital for their prompt and caring response.
A celebration of life will be held and shared once the details are known.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or to a charity of one’s choice.
