Obituary of Brian James Penney
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Brian James Penney on February 8, 2025. Loving husband of Marnie Penney. Devoted Dad to Jay and Jaquan. Dear brother of Erin Kennedy (Blake) and beloved uncle to Graham. Predeceased by his parents James Penney and Cheryl Penney. He is fondly remembered and dearly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins and their families.
Brian was a man of great passion who had a deep love for the Lord and an unwavering loyalty to his family. Brian preferred spending his days in the great outdoors whether it was ATVing on local trails, casting a line from his kayak on a serene lake or simply enjoying the warmth of a campfire with his friends and family. His appreciation for nature was contagious, inspiring both his children and those around him to embrace the beauty of God’s creation.
Above all else, Brian was a family man. His love for his wife and children was boundless and he cherished every memory he made with them. He was a pillar of strength and source of unwavering support to all those who were loved by him. He extended that same love and loyalty to his dogs, who were truly members of the family.
Brian’s warmth, kindness and sense of humour touched the lives of many. He leaves behind a legacy of love, and devotion that will be cherished by his family and friends forever, including his faithful dog, Cash who will miss his gentle hand and adventurous spirit.
Family and Friends are invited to attend visitation at Cole Funeral Services Highland Park (2037 McGee Side Rd, Carp) on Thursday February 13, 2025 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A funeral service will take place February 14, 2025 at Chapel Ridge Free Methodist Church (5660 Flewellyn Rd, Stittsville) at 11am followed by a reception. Donations in memory of Brian can be made to Camp Banting (campbanting.ca) or Sit With Me Shelter Dog Rescue (sitwithme.ca)
