James Archibald “Archie” Collins
Archie Collins, of Ayr Ontario, passed away following a brief illness, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Monday, February 3, 2025, at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband of Jo-Ann (nee Gray). Cherished father to Tim Collins (Kathleen) and Crystal Collins (Duane Buck); Much loved grandfather of Sam and Taylor Collins, Rebecca, Sarah, Nathan and Lilianna Buck; Dear brother of the late Doug Collins (Mary Ellen), Linda Gibson, Bonnie Cardinal (the late Russell), David Collins (Amanda), Donald Collins (Leanne), Reg Collins and Kenny Collins (Renata). Dear brother-in-law to, the late Roger Gray, the late Dale and Robert Ellis, the late Wayne and Christine Gray, Kim Gray (the late Sharon), Sherri Morrison, Carol Gray, the late Kevin Gray, Sandra Stotz (Randy), Coleen Lee (Leonard) and Tracey Thorne (Stanley (Jr.)). He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in the community. Archie was the son of the late Reginald and Alice Collins (nee Ivany).
Archie was well known to his family and friends as an enthusiast of old cars and spent many hours tending and tinkering on them whenever he had the opportunity. He worked for many local businesses over the years and got to know many folks throughout the area. In his off time, he did love spending time on his motorcycle and heading down to the trailer near Port Dover which went hand in hand. He will be missed by his family and his friends.
Cremation has taken place. There are no formal services being held at this time but raise a toast or share a fond memory with a friend in his name.
