Obituary of Ron Cooke
COOKE – Ronald Edward of St Thomas passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Nancy Cooke. Ron is survived by his children Ron Cooke (Peggy), Tom Cooke, Melanie Cooke, and Robert Cooke all of St Thomas; by his grandchildren Tim, Richard, Jeanine, Cindy (David), Eric, Luke, Jamie, Elizabeth, and Theresa (Todd). Ron will be missed by 13 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Ron was born is Stratford to the late William “Bill” and Elizabeth Cooke. He retired as a supervisor at the Ford Motor Company in Talbotville. After his retirement from Ford, Ron drove international truck. A Funeral service will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 3:00 pm, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Cremation to follow, with a private interment of ashes at a later date. If desired, donations to Alzheimer’s Society Southwestern Partners would be appreciated.
