Jesse Trachsel, of Sebringville, passed away at his home on January 24, 2025. Born in Shakespeare, Ontario.
A lifelong lover of sports Jesse played on various baseball teams throughout his youth and adult years in Shakespeare and Stratford. His enthusiasm for Halloween was unmatched; he took pride in his incredible themed displays, which also featured his treasured collection of gargoyles and drew visitors from near and far each year.
Jesse was a dedicated employee at Zehr’s for 20 years in Stratford, there he was known for his interactions, humour and storytelling with longtime customers and staff. He cherished his time with his beloved dogs and enjoyed photography.
He was the son of the late Harvey and Bettie (Scott) Trachsel. He was also predeceased by brothers-in-law Brad Boshart and Rick Strasser and niece Brandy Boshart.
Jesse is survived by his wife, Claire (Strasser), his children Amber (Brent) Kerr of Australia and Aaron (Sarah Jaynes) of Waterloo, as well as his grandchildren, Henry, Lila, and Landon. He will be missed by his siblings Walter (Isobel) Trachsel, Nancy Trachsel Musselman, Brenda Boshart, Glenn Trachsel, Betty Trachsel, Mary Trachsel, and Jayne (Richard) Pullman, as well as his brothers and sisters-in-law Barb King, Val & Ken Pethick, Lianne & Roland Bernier, Don Strasser and his many nieces and nephews.
Details for a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
For all the care that was given to Jesse of the years, a special thank you is given to Dr. Matt MacDonald, Care Partner Nurses, One Care Community Services, Stratford General Surgeons, the Internal Medicine Department, London Heath Sciences Centre Nephrology, Endocrinology and Neurology Departments, the Cardiac Care Unit, Dale Brain Injuries, and to every nurse that Jesse ever said to “I want to Go Home” Thank you all!
