Dwight Sollosy
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dwight Sollosy at the age of 68. He was a beloved husband, father, brother and friend.
Dwight was born to parents Ted and Harriet Sollosy. His family moved into the Montgomery area of Saskatoon when he was young. The open spaces and nearby fields provided him the freedom to explore. This along with his family’s camping and fishing holidays fostered a life long love of the outdoors. He was happiest at the cabin in the north and fishing, canoeing or skiing.
Dwight was a journeyman pipefitter and worked on many industrial sites prior to taking on his chosen profession as an apiarist. Beekeeping provided him an opportunity to utilize his many trade skills, work outside and be home with his family. The solitude of the bees was balanced with his memberships in the Saskatoon Bee Club and the Saskatoon Farmers’ Market.
Dwight is survived by his wife, Sharon, daughters Marina (Spencer) and Andrea, brother Glenn (Lois) and sister Jeannine (Norman) along with many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. David’s Trinity United Church (3318 Merritt St, Saskatoon) on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 2:00 pm.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan or a charity of your choice.
